We had our 3rd and final game on Sunday...  we lost 5-2.  I played goalie about 3/4 of the game if that tells you anything (I'm not normally a goalie).  We'll have to wait until later this week and the rest of the tournament games are played to see how we did overall.  This league has a points system based on wins, ties, and points for.  Let's hope we did well.

We had our 2nd tournament game last night...  we won it approx 6-4.  We had a good turn-out on our part so we didn't have a substitution problem.  The other team did however, only having 9 people instead of a full 11.  Next game is Sunday.

So our team and its sister team combined to put a team into the season ending tournament.  Looks like games today, Thursday, and Sunday. 

In our game tonight we pulled out ahead and just a few minutes into the 2nd half, our goalie broke his finger.  We dropped behind quickly after that.  I think his non-goalie replacement got a little frustrated and I traded with him.  Somehow the guys ended up pulling off a 4-3 win with me in goal.  Not sure how that happens, but I'll take a W however I can get it.

Is it normal for ducks to have babies in the fall/winter?  I figured it would be a spring thing.  I took this picture on Sunday (10/30):

So what happened to our cold weather?  About a week ago we had some charcoal out in the "fire bowl" on our back deck and almost froze trying to roast marshmellows with it.  Now it's approaching 80 at the end of this week.  Go figure.  Is a white Christmas out of the question?
